Black hole (of memory) /2025/
Six cast glass black picture frames.
Black holes are believed to contain the earliest memories of the universe, whilst also having no memories at all. This paradox exemplifies the position of both the birth mother and the adopted baby. Although they have shared the most personal and intense experience - that of birth - the child will have little conscious memory of it, nor the mother of the child's subsequent life. Instead of shared memories, what exists is a chasm of remembrance, recollections and reminiscences.
